A Youngsville manufacturer will launch a $7 million expansion that will include an expansion in New Iberia and 125 new jobs.
Quality Companies, which serves the energy industry, will build a new manufacturing facility in Jeanerette and expand fabrication operations at its Youngsville plant along Griffin Road, One Acadiana officials announced Thursday.
The new jobs will be at the Jeanerette plant with an average salary of $59,173, which is 3% above the average wage in Iberia Parish, officials said. The Youngsville plant will retain its 174 employees.
Employees in Jeanerette will provide fabrication services and assemble electrical components supporting industrial projects across Louisiana. Construction began in July and is expected to finish in December.
“This investment brings new jobs, new opportunities and continued momentum for our city,” Jeanerette Mayor Carol Bourgeois said. “We appreciate their confidence in our community and look forward to a strong partnership for years to come.”
In Youngsville, the company will expand its facility with a dedicated alloy fabrication shop specializing in advanced stainless-steel fabrication, which will enhance its capabilities and support for customers across the Gulf Coast.
“Quality Companies has called Louisiana home since day one, and this expansion lets us build on the relationships and workforce we’ve spent years developing right here in Acadiana,” Quality Companies President Tony Martinez said. “Jeanerette gives us the added space and skilled trades we need to keep pace with the growing demand for fabrication and electrical assembly services on the major projects underway across Louisiana.”
The company’s incentive deal from the office of Louisiana Economic Development includes $800,000 from the Economic Development Award Program for infrastructure improvements and enrollment in LED FastStart, the state’s workforce development solutions program.
It is also expected to participate in the state’s Industrial Tax Exemption and High Impact Jobs programs.
