The Lafayette Police Department arrested two people during an underaged buyer operation on Thursday.
Chestina Clark-Lemelle and Ronald Smothers were arrested and face charges of selling alcohol to someone under 21 and bar card violations, according to an LPD announcement.
The two were arrested at Kwik Stop at 1734 N. University Ave. and a Shell gas station at 1400 W. Pinhook Road.
LPD visited 46 businesses throughout the city, with 44 found to be in compliance.
