First Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 575 Education St., Baton Rouge, will host a revival Tuesday-Thursday, Aug. 4-6, with prayer, praise and worship from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by the revival service at 7 p.m. each evening.
The guest speaker for all three nights will be the Rev. Ricardo L. Handy Sr. of Mount Zion Inner-City Church, Plaquemine. The revival theme is “You Must Leave the Boat,” based on Matthew 4:18-22.
The Rev. Henry J. Brown is the host pastor. Participating churches include Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church and Greater Beulah Baptist Church. The public is invited.
Back 2 School Bash at Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church
Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Scotlandville, 1414 Sora St., will host its annual Back 2 School Bash from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1.
Sponsored by the ABWM Sisterhood Ministry, this year's school supply giveaway is themed “Preparing Our Youth for a Brighter Tomorrow.”

Free Community Grill & Chill at Seventh-day Adventist Church
Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church, 5100 Osborne Ave., Baton Rouge, will host a free Community Grill & Chill from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The evening will offer grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, chilled watermelon, assorted beverages, live and recorded music, fun activities for all ages and prayer for those who desire it.
