Life, liberty and happiness was celebrated at Cotton Fields Coffee shop in Jackson on July 3.

Celebrating the nation’s birthday a little early, visitors dropped by during the day’s festivities, which included music, edible offerings and patriotic vibes.

Shade was sought on the porch, under colorful umbrellas and from the nearby trees as the July heat was also in attendance. Cold coffee drinks, lemonade and sno-balls were particularly popular along with food truck offerings and the free popcorn.

Shop owner Fields Day said it was a successful way to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday
