The between the political leaders of New Orleans and Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill is an embarrassment to our state.
Sending letters threatening to remove political leaders from office because they have a different opinion on a legal matter is so disrespectful. What other state attorney general around the United States sends out letters like that?
What other state attorney general works to eliminate an elected clerk of court (Calvin Duncan) because their preferred candidate loses?
The residents of New Orleans elect our public officials, not the state attorney general. Thus, it was good to see the Orleans Parish grand jury follow the law and stand up for our respected political leaders.
We need to see our state attorney general spend 100% of her time, like the other attorneys general across the United States, working to put white- and blue-collar criminals in jail.
Leave the political, vindictive foolishness alone — for the betterment of our community.
